About Muzzle to Muscles

Introducing Monika

I grew up in Austria living and loving the outdoors - hiking, skiing, biking, swimming, just being in the mountains. My studies took me to Liverpool, UK where I graduated with a PhD in chemistry in 2001 and I've been living in Oxfordshire since working as a medicinal chemist in research and development.

I discovered horses relatively late in life whilst on honeymoon in the Canadian Rockies. Few years passed filled with lessons at a local riding school, before I got my own horse and I now enjoy hacking and fun rides in the Oxfordshire countryside. Like so many others, I came across the Masterson Method® in trying to help and better understand my horse. Fascinated by the horse's responses to light touch, my scientific interest was piqued and I signed up to the Masterson Method® weekend seminar.

Leaving behind a career in industry, I have now completed the certification pathway to become a Masterson Method® Certified Practitioner (MMCP). I fully believe and am committed to a holistic whole horse approach through collaborations with other equine professionals and veterinarians to support and improve the well-being and performance of companion, leisure and performance horses.
